DESCRIPTION

Light brown to dark brown liquid with a specific herbal odor.

COMPOSITION

1 ml contains 0.5 ml of an aqueous extract (1:10) from medicinal plants mixture:

Grass of the highlander bird (knotweed) 12.5 mg;

Horsetail grass 7.5 mg;

Common bearberry, leaves 5.0 mg;

Aerva lanata grass 25.0 mg.

Excipients: propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The mechanism of the PHYTOCAT action is due to the activity of biologically active substances of medicinal plants in the drug formulation. PHYTOCAT has diuretic, saluretic and anti-inflammatory effects; dissolves stones (except oxalates).

HIGHLANDERBIRD,KNOTWEED, GRASS (POLYGONUM AVICULARE L.) – contains a complex of flavonoids; tannins; vitamins; silicic acid compounds; it has diuretic properties; promotes to the excretion of calculi in urolithiasis; it has an anti-inflammatory effect; improves the condition of the capillary walls.

HORSETAIL GRASS(EQUISETUM ARVENSE L.) – contains water-soluble forms of silicic acid (up to 25%) and its complexes with organic compounds; flavonoids; triterpene saponins; it has diuretic, hemostatic and pronounced anti-inflammatory effect.

COMMON BEARBERRY, LEAVES(ARCTOSTAPHYLOS UVA-URSI L.) – contains glycosides methylarbutin and arbutin, hydroquinone, halothanine; ursolic, gallic and ellagic acids; has a diuretic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, saluretic effect. Increases diuresis, shows antibacterial properties, if there is an alkaline urine reaction.

POLPALA(AERVA LANATA L.,MOUNTAIN KNOTGRASS)– contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, mucus, organic acids, tannins, coumarins, saponins; it has a diuretic and saluretic effect that is accompanied by increased excretion of sodium and potassium ions and reducing the urea content in the blood plasma.

ADMINISTRATION

PHYTOCAT is administered for the prevention and treatment of cats and dogs with the urological syndrome, urolithiasis, and inflammatory diseases of kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract (pyelitis, cystitis, and urethritis).

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGES

For the treatment of urological syndrome, the early stages of urolithiasis, inflammatory diseases of kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract, the drug is used in combination with symptomatic agents, orally, twice daily for 3 weeks at following doses:

To prevent and in order to avoid recurrence of the disease, PHYTOCAT is administered orally at the same doses as for treatment, once daily, for 7-10 days. The treatment course is repeated every 2-3 months.

The drug can be added to drinking water.

There is no information about the incompatibility of the drug with other medicines.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not administer to animals with acute renal failure.

PRECAUTIONS

During storage, sediment may occur, which is easily broken by shaking.

PRESENTATION AND PACKAGING

Polymer vials of 50, 100 ml in a carton box complete with a syringe-dispenser.

STORAGE CONDITION

Store in dark place, out of the reach of children between 5°С to 25°С.

SHELFLIFE

24 months.
