Herplex, how does it work? Feline herpes virus type 1 is dependent on arginine, an essential amino acid, without which the virus cannot replicate. When the amino acid L-lysine is administered as a supplement, it competes with arginine, antagonizing its effect and inhibiting viral replication.

Herplex-L® favors both the prevention of the appearance of clinical signs and the reduction of the severity of eye and respiratory lesions associated with infection with type 1 feline herpes virus.
